1.4 The tax plan of a freelance consultant must consider IR35
E A situation where a computer consultant is not likely to apply IR35
I work from my own office and I am a computer consultant.

  • I have several contracts that I am working on at the same time.
  • I have three employees doing work on the contracts under my supervision.
  • I have agreed a fixed price for all the contracts
  • I do not have any timesheets approved by anyone.

Because the contract exhibits strong characteristics of self-employment then IR35 should not be applied to the contract by the computer consultant.
